The Cervantes Institute in Rabat recently hosted the opening of the exhibition Architecture of al-Andalus: A Meeting Point Between Eastern and Western Islam. The exhibition offers a fascinating exploration of the rich architectural heritage of al-Andalus preserved across the Iberian Peninsula, reflecting a shared and vibrant history with the southern Mediterranean region.
The exhibition, which will remain open until April 6, was inaugurated on February 6, with notable attendees including the Spanish Ambassador to Morocco, Enrique Ojeda Vila; the General Secretary of Historical Heritage from the Andalusian Government, Mar Sánchez Estrella; the Director of the Cervantes Institute in Rabat, Anastasio Sánchez Zamorano; and the Director of El Legado Andalusí Andalusian Public Foundation, Concha de Santa Ana Fernández.
