On June 6th, the photographic exhibition Architecture of al-Andalus: A Meeting Point Between the Islamic East and West, by the Andalusian Public Foundation El legado andalusí, was inaugurated at the National Museum of Fine Arts in Amman, Jordan.
The exhibition is organized by the Spanish Embassy, Cervantes Institute in Amman, and the National Museum of Fine Arts of Jordan, and will be open to the public until July 6th, 2024.
This exhibition presents Andalusi architecture, featuring its baths, mosques, oratories, minarets, houses, citadels, palaces, walls, towers, gates, bridges, alhondigas, and more. These architectural elements are closely linked to similar buildings in the Maghreb and the East. Over time, they have continued to captivate and enchant our gaze, offering delight and sensory recreation.
