The exhibition Crossing Itineraries: Andalusia and the Rif-Djebala set off on a journey throughout the common history that has linked these two territories, one in the south of the Iberian Peninsula and the other in Northern Africa. In order to do this, the exhibition made use of graphic panels and a selection of replicas of archaeological pieces so as to illustrate the deep relationships these territories maintained with each other and still maintain. It also explained the common history since the dawn of time to the present day, the intense voyages undertaken between one bank of the Straits and the other, the main historical characters, the fluent commercial relations, the persistence of common elements in both territories; in short, the culture shared by their peoples.
This exhibition was part of the European project Aashara, for a successful business, cultural and innovative cooperation in the Strait, within the Spain-External Borders Cross-Border Cooperation Program.
