“AASHARA” Project
Cross-Border Cooperation Program Spain External Borders (POCTEFEX)
Implementation period: 2012-2014
The project sought to promote a harmonious socio-economic and environmental development, trying to contribute to a greater structuration of the Spanish-Moroccan cooperation space. The main objective of AASHARA was the promotion and implementation of joint Spanish-Moroccan business initiatives, which would allow a greater commercial flow to both sides of the Straits of Gibraltar through the start-up of an Andalusia-Morocco Resource Exchange Center. It was intended that both Spanish and Moroccan businessmen intensified their business relationships, supplying them with advanced management technologies through a Virtual Center Andalusia-Morocco, so reducing cultural differences through the implementation of a parallel cultural agenda.
