The modernization of the crafts sector in the region of the Straits of Gibraltar was the main objective of “ZOCO SIGLO XXI” (Suq, 21st century). For this purpose, the introduction of innovative techniques was proposed, keeping the traditional style and promoting both the economic development and the competitiveness of the involved areas of the two countries through the creation of a Common Brand “Zoco Andalusí Siglo XXI”. Among the activities proposed was the creation of a virtual platform to operate as a basis for the promotion, internationalization and commercialization of the craft products manufactured by the participants of both countries through the routes and cultural itineraries set by El legado andalusí Andalusian Public Foundation.
